ایک شخص نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے کہا: 'میرے پاس پہاڑ میں ایک ضیعہ ہے جس سے میں ہر سال تین ہزار درہم کماتا ہوں۔ اس میں سے دو ہزار درہم اپنے عیال پر خرچ کرتا ہوں اور ہر سال ایک ہزار درہم صدقہ دیتا ہوں۔' تو ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'اگر دو ہزار ان کے لیے ان تمام ضروریات میں کافی ہیں جن کی انہیں سال بھر ضرورت ہے، تو تو نے اپنے لیے سوچا، اور اپنی رشد کے لیے توفیق ملی، اور تو نے اپنی زندگی میں اپنے آپ کو اس مقام پر رکھا جیسے زندہ شخص اپنی موت کے وقت وصیت کرتا ہے۔'

Translation

And from the two of them, from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘A man said to Abu Ja’far^asws, ‘For me there is a place in the mountain which I profit from during every year by three thousand Dirhams. So I spend two thousand Dirhams from it upon my dependants, and I give in charity with a thousand Dirhams during every year’. So Abu Ja’far^asws said: ‘If it was such that the two thousand suffices for them with regards to the entirety of what they need to for their year, so you have been considerate for yourself, and excelled in your rightful way, and you have flowed yourself during your lifetime to be at the status of what the living one bequeaths with during his death’.
