محمد بن یحییٰ نے احمد بن محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے معمر بن خلاد سے، انہوں نے ابوالحسن علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: 'مرد کے لیے مناسب ہے کہ وہ اپنے عیال پر وسعت کرے تاکہ وہ اس کی موت کی تمنا نہ کریں۔' [اور آپ نے یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی:] 'وہ اللہ کی محبت میں مسکین، یتیم اور اسیر کو کھانا کھلاتے ہیں' [76:8]۔ آپ نے فرمایا: 'اسیر مرد کے عیال ہیں۔ مرد کے لیے مناسب ہے کہ جب نعمت میں اضافہ ہو تو اپنے اسیروں کے لیے بھی وسعت میں اضافہ کرے۔' پھر آپ نے فرمایا: 'فلاں شخص پر اللہ نے نعمت کی تو اس نے اسے اپنے اسیروں سے روک لیا اور فلاں کے پاس رکھ دیا تو اللہ نے اسے لے لیا۔' معمر نے کہا: اور وہ فلاں شخص اس وقت موجود تھا۔

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Moammar Bin Khallad, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan^asws having said: ‘It is befitting for the man that he extends upon his dependents lest they wish for his death’, and he^asws recited this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:76#h8"><a href="/books/quran:76#h8">[76:8]</a></a> And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive</span>. He^asws said: ‘The ‘captives’ are the dependants of the man. It is befitting for the man, when there is an increase in the bounties, that he increases upon his ‘captives’ regarding the capacity upon them’. Then he^asws said: ‘So and so, Allah^azwj Favoured upon him with Bounties, but he prevented these from his captives and made it to be with so and so, therefore Allah^azwj Took it away’. Moammar (the narrator) said, ‘And that so and so was present’.
