سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَ ابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ .

علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے ابن ابی عمیر سے، انہوں نے حماد بن عثمان سے، انہوں نے الربیع بن یزید سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام کو فرماتے سنا: اوپر والا ہاتھ نیچے والے ہاتھ سے بہتر ہے، اور اپنے عیال سے شروع کرو۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad Bin Usman, from Al Rabie who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying, ‘The higher (providing) hand is better than a lower (receiving) hand, and begin with the dependants’.
