قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ لَا تَقُولُوا رَمَضَانَ وَ لَكِنْ قُولُوا شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ مَا رَمَضَانُ .

محمد بن یحیی نے احمد بن محمد اور محمد بن الحسین سے، انہوں نے محمد بن یحیی الخثعمی سے، انہوں نے غیاث بن ابراہیم سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: امیر المؤمنین صلوات اللہ علیہ نے فرمایا: رمضان مت کہو، بلکہ شہر رمضان کہو، کیونکہ تم نہیں جانتے کہ رمضان کیا ہے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, and Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Yahya Al Khash’amy, from Giyas Bin Ibrahim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, from his<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Do not be saying, ‘Ramazan’, but you should be saying, ‘Month of Ramazan’, for you all are not knowing what Ramazan is’.
