حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ شِمْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ كَانَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا أَهَلَّ هِلَالَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ أَقْبَلَ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَ الْإِيمَانِ وَ السَّلَامَةِ وَ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ الْعَافِيَةِ الْمُجَلِّلَةِ اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا صِيَامَهُ وَ قِيَامَهُ وَ تِلَاوَةَ الْقُرْآنِ فِيهِ اللَّهُمَّ سَلِّمْهُ لَنَا وَ تَسَلَّمْهُ مِنَّا وَ سَلِّمْنَا فِيهِ .

احمد بن محمد نے علی بن الحسین سے، انہوں نے علی بن اسباط سے، انہوں نے الحکم بن مسکین سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: عمرو بن شمر نے ہم سے بیان کیا، کہا: میں نے ابوعبداللہ علیہ السلام کو کہتے سنا: امیر المومنین صلوات اللہ علیہ جب رمضان کا چاند نظر آتا تو قبلے کی طرف متوجہ ہوتے اور پھر فرماتے: 'اے اللہ! اسے ہم پر امن، ایمان، سلامتی، اسلام اور ہمہ گیر عافیت کے ساتھ شروع فرما۔ اے اللہ! ہمیں اس کا روزہ، اس کا قیام اور اس میں تلاوت قرآن نصیب فرما۔ اے اللہ! اسے ہمارے لیے سالم رکھ، اسے ہم سے قبول فرما، اور ہمیں اس میں سالم رکھ۔'
Translation
Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Husayn, from Ali Bin Asbaat, from Al Hakam Bin Miskeen who said, ‘Amro Bin Shimr narrated to me saying, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup>, whenever the crescent of the Month of Ramazan commenced, used to face towards the Qiblah, then would say; ‘O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Commence upon us with the Favours, and the faith, and the safety, and Al-Islam, and the good spirited health. O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Grace us its Fasts, and its establishment, and recitation of the Quran therein. O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Give it as a safety for us, and Receive it back in safety from us, and Keep us safe therein’.
