اردو

امیر المومنین علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: جب تم ہلال دیکھو تو وہاں سے نہ ہٹو اور کہو: اے اللہ! میں آپ سے اس مہینے کی بھلائی، اس کے آغاز، اس کے نور، اس کی نصرت، اس کی برکت، اس کی پاکیزگی اور اس کے رزق کا سوال کرتا ہوں۔ اور میں آپ سے اس میں جو کچھ ہے اس کی بھلائی اور جو کچھ اس کے بعد ہے اس کی بھلائی مانگتا ہوں، اور میں اس میں جو شر ہے اور اس کے بعد کے شر سے آپ کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔ اے اللہ! اسے ہم پر امن، ایمان، سلامتی، اسلام، برکت اور ان کاموں کی توفیق کے ساتھ داخل فرما جو آپ کو محبوب اور پسند ہیں۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Yaqoub Bin Yazeed, from Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Al Nowfaly, from Al Husayn Bin Al Mukhtar, raising it, said, ‘Amir Al-Momineen^asws said: ‘Whenever you see the crescent, so do not depart, (until you) say, ‘O Allah^azwj! I ask You^azwj for goodness of this month, and its commencement, and its light, and its help, and its Blessings, and its purity, and its sustenance. And, I ask You^azwj of the goodness of whatever is in it, and goodness of whatever is after it, and I seek Refuge from the evil of whatever is in it, and the evil of whatever is after it. O Allah^azwj! Let it come upon us with the security, and the faith, and the peace, and Al-Islam, and the Blessings, and the inclinations to what You^azwj Love and are Pleased with’.
