John Shaqi

قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَمْضَغَ عِلْكاً فَإِنِّي مَضَغْتُ الْيَوْمَ عِلْكاً وَ أَنَا صَائِمٌ فَوَجَدْتُ فِي نَفْسِي مِنْهُ شَيْئاً .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘O Muhammad! Beware of chewing <span class="iTxt">Ilka</span> (a type of gum) for I<sup>asws</sup> chewed <span class="iTxt">Ilka</span> today and I<sup>asws</sup> was Fasting, so I<sup>asws</sup> found something from it in myself<sup>asws</sup>’.
