اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعامُ مِسْكِينٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا يُطِيقُونَ الصَّوْمَ فَأَصَابَهُمْ كِبَرٌ أَوْ عُطَاشٌ أَوْ شِبْهُ ذَلِكَ فَعَلَيْهِمْ لِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ مُدٌّ .
Translation
Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Fazzal, from Ibn Bukeyr, from one of our companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h184"><a href="/books/quran:2#h184">[2:184]</a></a> and those who are not able to do it may effect a redemption by feeding a poor person</span>, said: ‘Those who were able to tolerate the Fasting, but old age has hit them, or thirst, or something resembling that, so upon them, for each days, is a handful (of food to be fed to the poor)’.
