قُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ مَا تَقُولُ فِي الصَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ رُوِيَ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يُوَفَّقُونَ لِصَوْمٍ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ قَدْ أُجِيبَتْ دَعْوَةُ الْمَلَكِ فِيهِمْ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ وَ كَيْفَ ذَلِكَ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ قَالَ إِنَّ النَّاسَ لَمَّا قَتَلُوا الْحُسَيْنَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى مَلَكاً يُنَادِي أَيَّتُهَا الْأُمَّةُ الظَّالِمَةُ الْقَاتِلَةُ عِتْرَةَ نَبِيِّهَا لَا وَفَّقَكُمُ اللَّهُ لِصَوْمٍ وَ لَا لِفِطْرٍ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin yahya, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Al Sayyari, from Muhammad Bin Simail Al Qazy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> the 2<sup>nd</sup>, said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘May I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>! What are you<sup>asws</sup> saying regarding the Fast, for it is being reported that they (people) would never harmonise for the Fasting?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But it is the supplication of the Angel which has been Answered with regards to them’. So I said, ‘And how is that? May I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The people, when they killed Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup>, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Blessed and High Commanded an Angel who called out: ‘O you unjust community! The one which killed the family of its Prophet! Allah<sup>azwj</sup> will neither harmonise you for Fasting nor for (Eid) Al-Fitr’.
