John Shaqi

إِذَا مَرِضَ الْمُعْتَكِفُ وَ طَمِثَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمُعْتَكِفَةُ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي بَيْتَهُ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُ إِذَا بَرَأَ وَ يَصُومُ . وَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى عَنْهُ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ ذَلِكَ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Abdul Rahman Bin Al Hajjaj, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>  having said: ‘When the male performing <span class="iTxt">Itikaaf</span> becomes sick and the female performing <span class="iTxt">Itikaaf</span> menstruates, so he should go to his house, then return when he is cured and he should Fast’. And in another report from him<sup>asws</sup>: ‘That is not upon the sick one’.
