حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي عَنْ آبَائِهِ ( عليهم السلام ) أَنَّ عَلِيّاً صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ يُسْتَحَبُّ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَهْلَهُ أَوَّلَ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ لِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلى نِسائِكُمْ وَ الرَّفَثُ الْمُجَامَعَةُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Qasim BinYahya, from his grandfather Al Hassan Bin Rashid, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘My<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> narrated to me<sup>asws</sup>, from his<sup>asws</sup> grandfather<sup>asws</sup> that Ali<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It is recommended for the man that he goes to his wife on the first night of a Month of Ramazan due to the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h187"><a href="/books/quran:2#h187">[2:187]</a></a> It is made lawful to you to go to your wives on the night of the Fast</span>; and ‘Al-Rafas’ is the copulation’.
