قَالَ مَبْلَغُ عِلْمِنَا عَلَى ثَلَاثَةِ وُجُوهٍ مَاضٍ وَ غَابِرٍ وَ حَادِثٍ فَأَمَّا الْمَاضِي فَمُفَسَّرٌ وَ أَمَّا الْغَابِرُ فَمَزْبُورٌ وَ أَمَّا الْحَادِثُ فَقَذْفٌ فِي الْقُلُوبِ وَ نَقْرٌ فِي الْأَسْمَاعِ وَ هُوَ أَفْضَلُ عِلْمِنَا وَ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّنَا .

محمد بن یحییٰ نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے محمد بن اسماعیل سے، انہوں نے اپنے چچا حمزہ بن بزیع سے، انہوں نے علی السائی سے، انہوں نے ابو الحسن الاول موسیٰ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے فرمایا: انہوں نے علیہ السلام فرمایا: "ہمارے علم کی وسعت تین پہلوؤں میں ہے: ماضی، گزر چکا، اور نیا پیش آنے والا۔ جہاں تک ماضی کا تعلق ہے تو وہ مفصل ہے؛ اور جہاں تک گزر چکا کا تعلق ہے تو وہ لکھا ہوا ہے؛ اور جہاں تک نئے پیش آنے والے کا تعلق ہے تو وہ دلوں میں القا اور کانوں میں ٹھونک ہے۔ اور یہ ہمارے علم میں سب سے افضل ہے، اور ہمارے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے بعد کوئی نبی نہیں۔"
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from his uncle Hamza Bin Bazie, from Ali Al Saiy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> the 1<sup>st</sup> Musa<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Our<sup>asws</sup> knowledge reaches upon three aspects – the past, the ancient, and the newly occurring (present). So as for the past, so it is interpreted, and as for the ancient, so it Hymned, and as for the newly occurring (present), so it is cast into the hearts, and reverberated in the ears, and it is the most superior of our<sup>asws</sup> knowledge, and there is no Prophet<sup>as</sup> to come after our<sup>asws</sup> Prophet<sup>saww</sup>’.
