ذُكِرَ الْمُحَدَّثُ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ يَسْمَعُ الصَّوْتَ وَ لَا يَرَى الشَّخْصَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ كَيْفَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ كَلَامُ الْمَلَكِ قَالَ إِنَّهُ يُعْطَى السَّكِينَةَ وَ الْوَقَارَ حَتَّى يَعْلَمَ أَنَّهُ كَلَامُ مَلَكٍ .

علی بن ابراہیم، محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، یونس سے، ایک شخص سے، محمد بن مسلم سے، انہوں نے کہا: مُحدَّث کا ذکر ابی عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کی خدمت میں کیا گیا، تو انہوں نے فرمایا: “وہ آواز سنتا ہے، مگر شخص کو نہیں دیکھتا۔” تو میں نے ان سے عرض کیا: “میں آپ پر قربان، وہ کیسے جانتا ہے کہ یہ فرشتے کا کلام ہے؟” انہوں نے فرمایا: “اسے سکینت اور وقار عطا کیا جاتا ہے یہاں تک کہ وہ جان لیتا ہے کہ یہ فرشتے کا کلام ہے۔”
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Muhammad Bin Isa, fromYunus, from a man, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘The <span class="iTxt">Muhaddith</span> was mentioned in the presence of Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He<sup>asws</sup> would hear the voice, nor does he<sup>asws</sup> see the person’. So I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘May I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>! How does he<sup>asws</sup> know that it is a speech of the Angel?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He<sup>asws</sup> would be Given the tranquillity and the dignity until he<sup>asws</sup> would know that it is a speech of the Angel’.
