Al-Kafi 718

محمد بن یحییٰ، احمد بن محمد سے، موسیٰ بن عمر سے، محمد بن سنان سے، عمار بن مروان سے، المنخّل سے، جابر سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت ہے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے ان سے عالم کے علم کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے مجھ سے فرمایا: “اے جابر، بے شک انبیاء اور اوصیاء میں پانچ روحیں ہیں: روح القدس، روحِ ایمان، روحِ حیات، روحِ قوت، اور روحِ شہوت۔” پس روح القدس کے ذریعے، اے جابر، انہوں نے اس چیز کو جان لیا جو عرش کے نیچے ہے، یہاں تک کہ اس چیز تک جو مٹی کے نیچے ہے۔ پھر انہوں نے فرمایا: “اے جابر، یہ چار روحیں ایسی ہیں جن پر دو حادثے اثر انداز ہوتے ہیں، سوائے روح القدس کے، کیونکہ وہ نہ مشغول ہوتی ہے اور نہ کھیلتی ہے۔”

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Musa Bin Umar, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ammar Bin Marwan, from Al Munakhhal, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws, said, ‘I asked him^asws about the knowledge of the knowledgeable one^asws. So he^asws said to me: ‘O Jabir! Within the Prophets^as and the successors^as are five spirits – the Holy Spirit, and the spirit of <span class="iTxt">Eman</span>, and the spirit of life, and the spirit of strength, and the spirit of desire. So by the Holy Spirit, O Jabir, they^as are recognising what is beneath the Throne up to what is beneath the soil’. Then he^asws said: ‘O Jabir! These four spirits do get affected by the newly occurring events except for the Holy Spirit, for it neither sports nor play around’.
