مَرَّ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) بِامْرَأَةٍ مُتَنَقِّبَةٍ وَ هِيَ مُحْرِمَةٌ فَقَالَ أَحْرِمِي وَ أَسْفِرِي وَ أَرْخِي ثَوْبَكِ مِنْ فَوْقِ رَأْسِكِ فَإِنَّكِ إِنْ تَنَقَّبْتِ لَمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ لَوْنُكِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَيْنَ تُرْخِيهِ فَقَالَ تُغَطِّي عَيْنَيْهَا قَالَ قُلْتُ يَبْلُغُ فَمَهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ وَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) الْمُحْرِمَةُ لَا تَلْبَسُ الْحُلِيَّ وَ لَا الثِّيَابَ الْمُصَبَّغَاتِ إِلَّا صِبْغٌ لَا يَرْدَعُ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> passed by a veiled woman (in <span class="iTxt">Naqaab</span>) and she was in <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Wear <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span>, and uncover your face, and relax your cloth from the top of your head, for if you were to veil (Naqaab), your colour would not change’. So a man asked, ‘Up to where should she relax it?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘To uncover her eyes’. I said, ‘It should not reach her mouth?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes’. And Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The female in <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span> should not wear an ornament, nor dyed clothes except if it is dyed and cannot be returned (to its original state)’.
