John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) رَجُلٌ أَصَابَ مِنْ صَيْدٍ أَصَابَهُ مُحْرِمٌ وَ هُوَ حَلَالٌ قَالَ فَلْيَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ الْحَلَالُ وَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ إِنَّمَا الْفِدَاءُ عَلَى الْمُحْرِمِ.


Translation

Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Mansour Bin Hazim who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘A man attains from a prey caught by one in <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span>, and he is not in <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span>’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘So let the one who is not in <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span> eat from it, and there would be nothing upon him. But rather, the ransom is upon the one in <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span>’.
