John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) دَخَلْتُ طَوَافَ الْفَرِيضَةِ فَلَمْ يُفْتَحْ لِي شَيْ‏ءٌ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ سَعَيْتُ فَكَانَ كَذَلِكَ فَقَالَ مَا أُعْطِيَ أَحَدٌ مِمَّنْ سَأَلَ أَفْضَلَ مِمَّا أُعْطِيتَ .


Translation

Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Ibrahim bin Abu Bala’a, from Abdul Salaam Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Nuaym who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘I entered the Obligatory <span class="iTxt">Tawaaf</span> but could not begin with anything from the supplications except for the sending of Blessings upon Muhammad<sup>saww</sup> and the Progeny<sup>asws</sup> of Muhammad<sup>saww</sup> (<span class="iTxt">Salawat</span>), and, I performed the Sa’ee, so that was that (as well)’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No one from the beseechers would be Given anything superior that what you would be Given’.
