قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي تُوُفِّيَ فِيهِ ادْعُوا لِي خَلِيلِي فَأَرْسَلَتَا إِلَى أَبَوَيْهِمَا فَلَمَّا نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) أَعْرَضَ عَنْهُمَا ثُمَّ قَالَ ادْعُوا لِي خَلِيلِي فَأُرْسِلَ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ فَلَمَّا نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ أَكَبَّ عَلَيْهِ يُحَدِّثُهُ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ لَقِيَاهُ فَقَالَا لَهُ مَا حَدَّثَكَ خَلِيلُكَ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَلْفَ بَابٍ يَفْتَحُ كُلُّ بَابٍ أَلْفَ بَابٍ .

علی بن ابراہیم، ان کے والد سے، اور صالح بن السندی، جعفر بن بشیر سے، یحییٰ بن معمر العطار سے، بشیر الدہان سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلى الله عليه وآله نے اپنی اس بیماری کے دوران فرمایا جس میں آپ کا وصال ہوا: “میرے لیے میرے خلیل کو بلاؤ۔” چنانچہ ان دونوں نے اپنے اپنے والدین کی طرف پیغام بھیجا۔ جب رسول اللہ صلى الله عليه وآله نے انہیں دیکھا تو ان سے رخ پھیر لیا۔ پھر فرمایا: “میرے لیے میرے خلیل کو بلاؤ۔” چنانچہ علی عليه السلام کی طرف پیغام بھیجا گیا۔ جب انہوں نے آپ کو دیکھا تو آپ کے قریب جھک گئے اور آپ سے باتیں کرنے لگے۔ جب وہ باہر آئے تو وہ دونوں ان سے ملے اور کہا: “آپ کے خلیل نے آپ سے کیا فرمایا؟” انہوں نے کہا: “انہوں نے مجھے ایک ہزار دروازے بیان کیے، ہر دروازہ ایک ہزار دروازے کھولتا ہے۔”
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father and Salih Bin Al Sindy, from Ja’far Bin Bashir, from Yahya Bin Moammar Al Attar, from Bashir Al Dahhan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said during his<sup>saww</sup> illness in which he<sup>saww</sup> passed away: ‘Call my<sup>saww</sup> friend for me<sup>saww</sup>’. So they both (Ayesha and Hafsa) sent a message to their fathers (Abu Bakr and Umar). So when Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> looked at them, turned away from them. Then he<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Call my<sup>saww</sup> friend for me<sup>saww</sup>’. So a message was sent to Ali<sup>asws</sup>. So when he<sup>saww</sup> looked at him<sup>asws</sup>, he<sup>saww</sup> got engrossed (engaged) upon it narrating to him<sup>asws</sup>. So when he<sup>asws</sup> came out, they (Abu Bakr and Umar) met him<sup>asws</sup> and they both said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘What did your<sup>asws</sup> friend narrate to you<sup>asws</sup>?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He<sup>saww</sup> narrated to me<sup>asws</sup> a thousand topics, with each topic opening a thousand topics’.
