كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ يُسَخِّي نَفْسِي فِي سُرْعَةِ الْمَوْتِ وَ الْقَتْلِ فِينَا قَوْلُ اللَّهِ أَ وَ لَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنْقُصُها مِنْ أَطْرافِها وَ هُوَ ذَهَابُ الْعُلَمَاءِ .

علی بن حسین علیہ السلام فرمایا کرتے تھے: ہم میں موت اور قتل کی تیزی کے بارے میں میری جان کو جو چیز فراخدل بناتی ہے وہ اللہ کا یہ قول ہے: 'کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم زمین کو اس کے کناروں سے گھٹاتے ہوئے آتے ہیں؟' اور یہ علماء کا چلے جانا ہے۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Ali, from the one who mentioned it, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup> was saying: ‘I<sup>asws</sup> am generous with myself<sup>asws</sup> regarding the hastening of the death and the murder. Regarding us<sup>asws</sup> are the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:13#h41"><a href="/books/quran:13#h41">[13:41]</a></a> Do they not see that We Aim at the earth by Reducing its sides?</span> And it is the departure of the scholars<sup>asws</sup> (from the world)’.
