John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ حَجَّتِهِ شَيْئاً يَلْزَمُهُ مِنْهُ دَمٌ يُجْزِئُهُ أَنْ يَذْبَحَهُ إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَ قَالَ فِيمَا أَعْلَمُ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ وَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ ( عليه السلام ) الرَّجُلُ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ حَجَّتِهِ مَا يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ الدَّمُ وَ لَا يُهَرِيقُهُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَقَالَ يُهَرِيقُهُ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ الشَّيْ‏ءَ .


Translation

Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan Bin Yahya,f rom Is’haq Bin Ammar, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> who said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The man who exits from his Hajj with something from which blood (of a sacrificial animal) is necessitated upon him, can he slaughter it when he returns to his family?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Regarding what I<sup>asws</sup> know, he should give charity with it’. Is’haq said, ‘And I said to Abu Ibrahim<sup>asws</sup> (7<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>), ‘The man comes out from his Hajj with what Obligates upon him the blood (of a sacrificial animal), and he does not spill it until he return to his family’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He should spill it among his family, and he should eat something from it’.
