قُلْتُ لِأَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّا حِينَ نَفَرْنَا مِنْ مِنًى أَقَمْنَا أَيَّاماً ثُمَّ حَلَقْتُ رَأْسِي طَلَبَ التَّلَذُّذِ فَدَخَلَنِي مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ فَقَالَ كَانَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( صلوات الله عليه ) إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ فَأُتِيَ بِثِيَابِهِ حَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ قَالَ وَ قَالَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا تَفَثَهُمْ وَ لْيُوفُوا نُذُورَهُمْ قَالَ التَّفَثُ تَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ وَ طَرْحُ الْوَسَخِ وَ طَرْحُ الْإِحْرَامِ .
Translation
Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Abu Nasr who said, ‘I said to Abu Al-Hassan Al-Reza<sup>asws</sup>, ‘When we went from Mina, we stayed for a few days, then I shaved off my head seeking the pleasure, so something entered into me from that (that raised a question into my mind).’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup>, when he<sup>asws</sup> exited from Makkah, they came with his<sup>asws</sup> (normal) clothes, and shaved off his<sup>asws</sup> head’. He (the narrator) said, ‘And he<sup>asws</sup> said regarding the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:22#h29"><a href="/books/quran:22#h29">[22:29]</a></a> Then let them fulfil their needful acts, and let them be loyal to their vows</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘<span class="iTxt">Tafath</span> (the <span class="ibTxt">‘needful acts’)</span> means the clipping of the nails, and removing the dust, and removing the <span class="iTxt">Ihraam</span>’.
