اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْدُوداتٍ قَالَ هِيَ أَيَّامُ التَّشْرِيقِ كَانُوا إِذَا أَقَامُوا بِمِنًى بَعْدَ النَّحْرِ تَفَاخَرُوا فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُمْ كَانَ أَبِي يَفْعَلُ كَذَا وَ كَذَا فَقَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ فَإِذا أَفَضْتُمْ مِنْ عَرَفاتٍ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَذِكْرِكُمْ آباءَكُمْ أَوْ أَشَدَّ ذِكْراً قَالَ وَ التَّكْبِيرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَ لِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ عَلَى مَا هَدَانَا اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ عَلَى مَا رَزَقَنَا مِنْ بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ .
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Mansour Bin Hazim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h203"><a href="/books/quran:2#h203">[2:203]</a></a> And mention Allah during the numbered days</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘These are the days of Al-Tashreek (11<sup>th</sup>, 12<sup>th</sup> & 13<sup>th</sup> Zilhajj). It was so that whenever they (the people) stayed in Mina after the sacrifice, used to pride (over others). So the man among them would say, ‘My father used to do such and such’. So Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, Majestic is His<sup>azwj</sup> Praise, Said (When you have departed from Arafaat) <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h200"><a href="/books/quran:2#h200">[2:200]</a></a> then mention Allah as you mentioned your forefathers, rather with a greater mention</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘And the exclamation of the <span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span> is - ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is the Greatest (beyond description)! Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is the Greatest (beyond description)! There is no god except for Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, and Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is the Greatest (beyond description). Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is the Greatest (beyond description). And for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is the Praise. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is the Greatest (beyond description) upon what Allah<sup>azwj</sup> having Guided us. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is the Greatest (beyond description) upon having Graced us over the animals, the cattle’.
