ابو علی الارّجانی الفارسی نے مجھ سے، عبد الرحمن بن الحجاج سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے اس سال عبد الرحمن سے پوچھا جس سال ابو الحسن الماضی (عليه السلام) کو گرفتار کیا گیا تھا، اور میں نے اس سے کہا: یہ شخص اس کے ہاتھ میں آ گیا ہے، اور ہم نہیں جانتے کہ اس کا انجام کیا ہوگا؛ تو کیا اس کے کسی بیٹے کے بارے میں اس سے تم تک کچھ پہنچا ہے؟ تو اس نے مجھ سے کہا: میں نے نہیں سوچا تھا کہ کوئی مجھ سے اس مسئلے کے بارے میں پوچھے گا۔ میں جعفر بن محمد کے پاس ان کے گھر میں حاضر ہوا، تو وہ اپنے گھر کے ایک کمرے میں تھے، اپنی مسجد میں، اور وہ دعا کر رہے تھے، اور ان کے دائیں جانب موسیٰ بن جعفر (عليه السلام) تھے، جو ان کی دعا پر آمین کہہ رہے تھے۔ تو میں نے اس سے کہا: اللہ مجھے آپ پر قربان کرے؛ آپ میرے آپ سے وابستہ ہونے اور آپ کی خدمت کو جانتے ہیں، تو آپ کے بعد لوگوں کا ولی کون ہے؟ اس نے کہا: موسیٰ نے زرہ پہن لی ہے اور وہ اس پر برابر آ گئی ہے۔ تو میں نے اس سے کہا: اس کے بعد مجھے کسی اور چیز کی حاجت نہیں۔

Translation

And by this chain, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad who said, ‘Abu Ali Al Arjany Al Farsy narrated to me, from Abdul Rahman Al Hajjaj who said, ‘I asked Abdul Rahman during the year in which Abu Al-Hassan Al-Maazy (7^th Imam^asws) was seized (imprisoned), and I said to him, ‘This man^asws who has come to be in the hands of this one (the Caliph), and we do not know what would become of him^asws. So has there reached anything from him^asws regarding any one of his^asws sons?’ So he said to me, ‘I had not thought anyone would be asking me about this issue. I had gone to Ja’far^asws Bin Muhammad^asws in his^asws house, so there he^asws was in a room of his^asws house in a Masjid of his^asws, and he^asws was supplicating, and upon his^asws right hand was Musa^asws Bin Ja’far^asws, saying, ‘Ameen’, upon his^asws supplication’. So I said to him^asws, ‘May Allah^azwj Make me to be sacrificed for you^asws! You^asws have recognised my cutting-off (from others) to you^asws, and my service to you^asws. So who would be the Guardian of the people after you^asws?’ So he^asws said: ‘Musa^asws had worn the armour and it fit evenly upon him^asws’. So I said to him^asws, ‘I am not needy after this, to anything’.
