ہمارے بعض اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے علی بن الحکم سے، انہوں نے ابو ایوب الخزاز سے، انہوں نے ثبیت سے، انہوں نے معاذ بن کثیر سے، انہوں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے ان سے کہا: میں اللہ سے دعا کرتا ہوں، جس نے آپ کے والد کو آپ کے ذریعے یہ مرتبہ عطا فرمایا، کہ وہ آپ کو آپ کی اولاد میں سے، موت سے پہلے، اسی جیسا عطا فرمائے۔ تو انہوں نے فرمایا: اللہ نے یہ کام پہلے ہی کر دیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے عرض کیا: وہ کون ہے، میں آپ پر قربان ہو جاؤں؟ تو انہوں نے اس صالح بندے کی طرف اشارہ کیا جبکہ وہ لیٹا ہوا تھا، اور فرمایا: یہ لیٹا ہوا شخص، اور وہ ایک لڑکا تھا۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Abu Ayoub Al Khazaz, from Sabeyt, from Muaz Bin Kaseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws, said, ‘I said to him^asws, ‘I ask Allah^azwj Who Graced your^asws father^asws this status that He^azwj should Grace you^asws from your^asws descendants, before your^asws passing away, similar to it’. So he^asws said: ‘Allah^azwj has already Done that’. I said, ‘Who is he^asws (the next Imam^asws)? May I be sacrificed for you^asws!’ So he^asws gestured towards Al-Abd Al-Salih^asws (7^th Imam^asws), and he^asws was lying (sleeping), and he^asws said: ‘This one^asws lying down’, and he^asws was a boy’.
