شَكَتِ الْكَعْبَةُ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَا تَلْقَى مِنْ أَنْفَاسٍ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَيْهَا قِرِّي كَعْبَةُ فَإِنِّي مُبْدِلُكِ بِهِمْ قَوْماً يَتَنَظَّفُونَ بِقُضْبَانِ الشَّجَرِ فَلَمَّا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مُحَمَّداً ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) أَوْحَى إِلَيْهِ مَعَ جَبْرَئِيلَ ( عليه السلام ) بِالسِّوَاكِ وَ الْخِلَالِ .
Translation
Sahl Bin Mansour Bin Al Abbas, from Ibn Abu Najran, or someone else, from Hanaan, from his father, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The Kabah complained to Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic what is faced from the (smelly) breating from the Polytheists. So Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Revealed unto it: “Calm down, Kabah, for I<sup>azwj</sup> would be Replacing them with a people who would be cleaning (their teeth) with the twigs of the tree”. So when Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Sent Muhammad<sup>azwj</sup>, Revealed unto him<sup>saww</sup> with Jibraeel<sup>as</sup> with the brushing of the teeth, and picking the teeth (with a tooth-pick)’.
