John Shaqi

إِذَا أَرَدْتَ زِيَارَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) فَزُرْهُ وَ أَنْتَ حَزِينٌ مَكْرُوبٌ شَعِثٌ مُغْبَرٌّ جَائِعٌ عَطْشَانُ وَ سَلْهُ الْحَوَائِجَ وَ انْصَرِفْ عَنْهُ وَ لَا تَتَّخِذْهُ وَطَناً .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from one our companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Whenever you intend to perform the <span class="iTxt">Ziyarah</span> of Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup>, so perform it while you are in grief, distressed, dishevelled, dusty, hungry, thirsty, and ask him<sup>asws</sup> for the needs, and leave from him<sup>asws</sup> and do not take it as a homeland’.
