امیر المومنین علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: اللہ نے مردوں اور عورتوں پر جہاد فرض کیا ہے۔ مرد کا جہاد یہ ہے کہ وہ اپنا مال اور جان لگائے یہاں تک کہ راہ خدا میں شہید ہو جائے؛ اور عورت کا جہاد یہ ہے کہ وہ اپنے شوہر کی اذیت اور غیرت پر صبر کرے۔ اور ایک اور روایت میں ہے: عورت کا جہاد شوہر کے ساتھ حسن معاشرت ہے۔

Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Abu Al Jaroud, from Al Husayn Bin Ulwan, from Sa’ad Bin Tareyf, from Al Asbagh Bin Nubata who said, ‘Amir Al-Momineen^asws said: ‘Allah^azwj has Prescribed the Jihad upon the men and the women, so the man would do Jihad by exerting his wealth and his self until he is killed in the Way of Allah^azwj; and the Jihad of the woman is that she would be patient upon what harm she sees from her husband and his self-esteem’. And in another Hadeeth: ‘The Jihad of the woman is goodness with the husband’.
