احمد بن مِهران نے محمد بن علی سے، ان سے زیاد بن مروان القندی سے روایت کی — اور وہ واقفیہ میں سے تھا — کہ اس نے کہا: میں ابو ابراہیم کے پاس حاضر ہوا، اور ان کے ساتھ ان کے بیٹے ابو الحسن علیہ السلام تھے۔ تو انہوں نے مجھ سے فرمایا: “اے زیاد، یہ میرا بیٹا فلاں ہے۔ اس کا خط میرا خط ہے، اس کی بات میری بات ہے، اس کا قاصد میرا قاصد ہے، اور وہ جو کچھ کہے تو بات اسی کی بات ہے۔”

Translation

Ahmad Bin Mihran, from Muhammad Bin Ali, from Ziyad Bin Marwan Al Qandy, and he was from the Waqifites, said, ‘I went over to Abu Ibrahim^asws (7^th Imam^asws), and in his^asws presence was his^asws son^asws Abu Al-Hassan^asws, so he^asws said to me: ‘O Ziyad! This is my^asws son^asws so and so. His^asws letters are my^asws letters and his^asws speech is my^asws speech, and his^asws messenger is my^asws messenger, and whatever he^asws says, so the (final) words are his^asws words’.
