احمد بن مہران نے محمد بن علی سے، محمد بن الفضیل سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے کہا: المخزومی نے مجھ سے روایت کی—اور ان کی والدہ جعفر بن ابی طالب (علیه السلام) کی اولاد میں سے تھیں۔ انہوں نے کہا: ابو الحسن موسیٰ (علیه السلام) نے ہمیں بلایا، تو انہوں نے ہمیں جمع کیا پھر ہم سے فرمایا: “کیا تم جانتے ہو کہ میں نے تمہیں کیوں بلایا ہے؟” ہم نے کہا: “نہیں۔” پس انہوں نے فرمایا: “گواہ رہو کہ میرا یہ بیٹا میرا وصی ہے، میرے امر کا ذمہ دار ہے، اور میرے بعد میرا خلیفہ ہے۔ جس کسی کا مجھ پر قرض ہو، وہ اسے میرے اس بیٹے سے لے لے۔ جس کسی سے میں نے کوئی وعدہ کیا ہو، وہ اسے اس کے ذریعے پورا کر لے۔ اور جسے مجھ سے ملنے کے سوا کوئی چارہ نہ ہو، وہ مجھ سے صرف اس کی تحریر کے ساتھ ہی ملے۔”

Translation

Ahmad Bin Mihran, from Muhammad Bin Ali, from Muhammad Bin Al Fuzayl who said, ‘Al-Makhzoumy narrated to me, and it was so that his paternal uncle was from the children of Ja’far^asws Bin Abu Talib^asws. He said, ‘Abu Al-Hassan Musa^asws sent for me. So we gathered ourselves, then said to us: ‘Do you know why I^asws invited you all?’ So we said, ‘No’. So he^asws said: ‘Bear witness that this son^asws of mine^asws is my^asws successor^asws, and the establisher of my^asws commands, and my^asws Caliph after me^asws. The one who has a debt for him with me^asws, so let him take it from this son^asws of mine^asws, and the one who had a promise for him with me^asws, so let him have it fulfilled from him^asws, and the one for whom it is inevitable that he must meet me^asws, so he should not come to meet me^asws except by his^asws letter (Written authorisation)’.
