الْأَسِيرُ طَعَامُهُ عَلَى مَنْ أَسَرَهُ حَقٌّ عَلَيْهِ وَ إِنْ كَانَ كَافِراً يُقْتَلُ مِنَ الْغَدِ فَإِنَّهُ يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَرْؤُفَهُ وَ يُطْعِمَهُ وَ يَسْقِيَهُ .
Translation
Ahmad Bin Muhammad Al Kufy, from Hamdan Al qalanasy, from Muhammad Bin Al Waleed, from Aban Bin Usman, from Mansour Bin Hazim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The prisoner, his meals are upon the one who imprisons him, a right upon him, and even he was an Infidel to be killed the next day, for it is befitting for him that he is kind to him, and feeds him, and quenches him’.
