John Shaqi

أَتَيْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ إِذَا هُوَ فِي حَائِطٍ لَهُ بِيَدِهِ مِسْحَاةٌ وَ هُوَ يَفْتَحُ بِهَا الْمَاءَ وَ عَلَيْهِ قَمِيصٌ شِبْهَ الْكَرَابِيسِ كَأَنَّهُ مَخِيطٌ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ ضِيقِهِ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Sinan, from Ismail Bin Jabir who said, ‘I went over to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, and he<sup>asws</sup> was by a wall of his<sup>asws</sup> and in his<sup>asws</sup> hand was a spade, and he<sup>asws</sup> was opening the water (way) with it, and upon him<sup>asws</sup> was a shirt of cotton threads, as if it was stitched upon him<sup>asws</sup> due to its tightness.
