John Shaqi

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَسَّعَ فِي أَرْزَاقِ الْحَمْقَى لِيَعْتَبِرَ الْعُقَلَاءُ وَ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الدُّنْيَا لَيْسَ يُنَالُ مَا فِيهَا بِعَمَلٍ وَ لَا حِيلَةٍ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Rabie Bin Muhammad Al Musally, from Abdullah Bin Suleyman who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying that Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the Exalted has Expanded in the sustenances of the stupid ones in order for the intellectuals to learn a lesson, and they would know that the world and whatever is in it, cannot be achieved by actions nor means’.
