علی بن محمد، سہل بن زیاد سے، ابن محبوب سے، ابو اسامہ سے، ہشام سے؛ اور محمد بن یحییٰ، احمد بن محمد سے، ابن محبوب سے، ہشام بن سالم سے، ابو حمزہ سے، ابو اسحاق سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے کہا: امیر المؤمنین علیہ السلام کے اصحاب میں سے ثقہ لوگوں نے مجھے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے امیر المؤمنین علیہ السلام کو اپنے ایک خطبے میں یہ فرماتے سنا: “اے اللہ! میں یقیناً جانتا ہوں کہ علم مکمل طور پر سمیٹا نہیں جاتا، نہ ہی اس کے سرچشمے منقطع ہوتے ہیں، اور یہ کہ تو اپنی زمین کو اپنی مخلوق پر اپنی حجت سے خالی نہیں چھوڑتا—یا تو ظاہر، اگرچہ مطاع نہ ہو، یا خوف زدہ اور مخفی—تاکہ تیری حجتیں باطل نہ ہوں اور تیرے اولیاء، جب تو نے انہیں ہدایت دی، اس کے بعد گمراہ نہ ہوں۔ مگر وہ کہاں ہیں، اور وہ کتنے ہیں؟ وہ تعداد میں سب سے کم ہیں، مگر اللہ کے نزدیک قدر میں سب سے عظیم ہیں، جس کا ذکر جلیل ہے۔” وہ دین کے پیشواؤں، ہدایت دینے والے ائمہ کے پیروکار ہیں، جو اپنے آپ کو ان کے آداب سے آراستہ کرتے ہیں اور ان کے راستے پر چلتے ہیں۔ اسی وقت علم ان پر ایمان کی حقیقت کے ساتھ ٹوٹ پڑتا ہے؛ ان کی روحیں علم کے پیشواؤں کی طرف لبیک کہتی ہیں؛ وہ ان کی حدیث میں ان باتوں کو آسان پاتے ہیں جو دوسروں پر سخت ہوتی ہیں؛ اور اس سے مانوس ہوتے ہیں جس سے منکرین وحشت محسوس کرتے ہیں اور جسے حد سے بڑھنے والے ناپسند کرتے ہیں۔ یہی علماء کے پیروکار ہیں۔ وہ اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ اور اس کے اولیاء کی اطاعت کے ذریعے اہلِ دنیا کے ساتھ رہتے ہیں، اور اپنے دین کے بارے میں اور اپنے دشمن کے خوف سے تقیہ اختیار کرتے ہیں۔ پس ان کی روحیں بلند ترین مقام سے وابستہ ہیں۔ ان کے علماء اور ان کے پیروکار باطل کی حکومت میں گونگے اور خاموش ہیں، حق کی حکومت کے منتظر ہیں۔ اور اللہ اپنے کلمات کے ذریعے حق کو قائم کرے گا اور باطل کو مٹا دے گا۔ آہ، آہ! ان کے لیے خوشخبری ہے ان کے دین پر صبر کرنے کی وجہ سے، ان کی صلح کے زمانے میں؛ اور مجھے ان کے دیدار کی کتنی آرزو ہے، ان کی حکومت کے ظاہر ہونے کے زمانے میں۔ اور اللہ ہمیں اور انہیں ہمیشہ رہنے والے باغات میں جمع کرے گا، اور ان کے آباء، ان کی ازواج، اور ان کی اولاد میں سے جو صالح ہوں گے۔

Translation

Ali Bin Muhgammad, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Abu Asama, from Hisham and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Hisham bin Salim, from Abu Hamza, from Abu Is’haq who said, ‘It was narrated to me by the reliable ones of the companions of Amir Al-Momineen^asws that they heard Amir Al-Momineen^asws saying in a sermon of his^asws: ‘O Allah^azwj! And I^asws know that the knowledge, all of it cannot be erased, nor would its items be cut off, and You^asws do not Leave your^asws earth empty from a Divine Authority of Yours^azwj to be upon Your^azwj creatures, who is apparent but isn’t with the obedience, or is fearful, obscure, nor do You^azwj Let Your^azwj friends to stray after having Guided them. But, where are they? And how many are Your^azwj friends? They are few in numbers and are of great worth in the Presence of Allah^azwj, Majestic is His^azwj Mention. (They are) the followers of the leaders of the Religion, the Imams^asws, the Guides who are educating them with their^asws education are programming them upon their^asws program. Thus, during that, the knowledge leads with them upon the realities of the <span class="iTxt">Eman</span>, and their souls answer to the leadership of the knowledge and they are finding it easy from the Ahadeed what is difficult upon others, and they are being comforted with what the beliers are terrified upon and the extravagant are indifferent of. They are the followers of the knowledgeable ones^asws, accompanying the people of the word in obedience to Allah^azwj Blessed and High and His^azwj Guardians^asws, and they are making a Religion with the dissimulation about their Religion, and the fear from their enemies. So their souls are clinging with the lofty places. Their scholars^asws and their^asws follower are mute, silent, in the government of the falsehood, awaiting the government of the Truth, and very soon Allah^azwj would Bring about the reality of the Truth by His^azwj Word and Delete the falsehood. Haa! Haa! Beatitude is for them upon their observant of patience upon their Religion in a state of truce. And O my^asws longing to see them in a state of the manifestation of their government! And Allah^azwj will soon be Gathering us^asws and them in the Gardens of Eden, and the righteous ones from their forefathers, and their wives, and their offspring’.
