الْمَنْبُوذُ حُرٌّ فَإِذَا كَبِرَ فَإِنْ شَاءَ تَوَلَّى إِلَى الَّذِي الْتَقَطَهُ وَ إِلَّا فَلْيَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّفَقَةَ وَ لْيَذْهَبْ فَلْيُوَالِ مَنْ شَاءَ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Abdul Rahman Al Azramy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, from his<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The abandoned (child) is free. So when he grow older, then if he so desires to choose as a guardian the one who picked him up, or else let him return the expenditure to him, and let him go and choose as a guardian the one whom he so desires to’.
