Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Safwan, from Ibn Bukeyr who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullahasws about the security deposit, so heasws said: ‘If there was more than the wealth of the mortgagee, and it is destroyed, he would have to pay the excess to the owner of the mortgage, and if it was less than his wealth, so the security deposit is destroyed, the owner of the excess would return to his companion, his wealth, and if it was such that the mortgage was equal (to the security deposit), so there is nothing upon him’.
