قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) تَذَاكَرُوا وَ تَلَاقَوْا وَ تَحَدَّثُوا فَإِنَّ الْحَدِيثَ جِلَاءٌ لِلْقُلُوبِ إِنَّ الْقُلُوبَ لَتَرِينُ كَمَا يَرِينُ السَّيْفُ جِلَاؤُهَا الْحَدِيثُ .

محمد بن یحیی نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے عبد اللہ بن محمد الحجال سے، انہوں نے اپنے بعض اصحاب سے روایت کی جنہوں نے اسے مرفوع بیان کیا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے فرمایا: 'آپس میں مذاکرہ کرو، ایک دوسرے سے ملو اور حدیث بیان کرو؛ کیونکہ بے شک حدیث دلوں کی جلا ہے۔ دل اسی طرح زنگ آلود ہو جاتے ہیں جیسے تلواریں زنگ آلود ہوتی ہیں، اور ان کی جلا حدیث ہے۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Hajjal, from one of his companions, raising it, said, ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Discuss and meet and narrate Hadeeth to each other, for the Hadeeth is a polishing for the hearts. The hearts tend to rust just as the swords rust. Polish these with the Hadeeth’.
