Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad and Ahmad Bin Muhammad altogether, from Ibn Mahboub, from Khalid Bin Jareer, from Abu Al Rabie Al Shamy, from Abu Abdullahasws, said, ‘I asked himasws about the man who Leased the land from the farmers, so he sub-leased it out with more than what he had leased it with, and he undertook therein the share of the Sultan (ruling authority). Heasws said: ‘There is no problem with it. The land is not like the employee, nor like the house. The excess of the employee’s wages and the house is prohibited’.
