John Shaqi

لَيْسَ لِلْيَهُودِيِّ وَ النَّصْرَانِيِّ شُفْعَةٌ وَ قَالَ لَا شُفْعَةَ إِلَّا لِشَرِيكٍ غَيْرِ مُقَاسِمٍ وَ قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) وَصِيُّ الْيَتِيمِ بِمَنْزِلَةِ أَبِيهِ يَأْخُذُ لَهُ الشُّفْعَةَ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ رَغْبَةٌ فِيهِ وَ قَالَ لِلْغَائِبِ شُفْعَةٌ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Al nowfaly, from Al Sakuny, from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Pre-emption is not for the Jews and the Christians’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘There is no pre-emption except for a partner who has not been distributed (his share)’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Amir Al Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘A trustee of the orphan is at the status of his father. He takes the pre-emption for him if it was an advantage for him in it’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘For the absentee is pre-emption’.
