حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ لَمَّا خَرَجَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَقْتُولُ بِفَخٍّ وَ احْتَوَى عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ دَعَا مُوسَى بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ إِلَى الْبَيْعَةِ فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا ابْنَ عَمِّ لَا تُكَلِّفْنِي مَا كَلَّفَ ابْنُ عَمِّكَ عَمَّكَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَيَخْرُجَ مِنِّي مَا لَا أُرِيدُ كَمَا خَرَجَ مِنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ يُرِيدُ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْحُسَيْنُ إِنَّمَا عَرَضْتُ عَلَيْكَ أَمْراً فَإِنْ أَرَدْتَهُ دَخَلْتَ فِيهِ وَ إِنْ كَرِهْتَهُ لَمْ أَحْمِلْكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ اللَّهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ ثُمَّ وَدَّعَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حِينَ وَدَّعَهُ يَا ابْنَ عَمِّ إِنَّكَ مَقْتُولٌ فَأَجِدَّ الضِّرَابَ فَإِنَّ الْقَوْمَ فُسَّاقٌ يُظْهِرُونَ إِيمَاناً وَ يَسْتُرُونَ شِرْكاً وَ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَ إِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ أَحْتَسِبُكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ عُصْبَةٍ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ الْحُسَيْنُ وَ كَانَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ مَا كَانَ قُتِلُوا كُلُّهُمْ كَمَا قَالَ ( عليه السلام ) .

ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Mufaḍḍal، جو ʿAbdullāh ibn Jaʿfar ibn Abī Ṭālib کے مَولٰی تھے، نے ہم سے روایت کی، اور کہا: جب فَخّ میں قتل ہونے والے الحُسین ibn ʿAlī نے قیام کیا اور المدینہ پر قبضہ کر لیا، تو اس نے Mūsā ibn Jaʿfar کو بیعت کے لیے بلایا۔ چنانچہ وہ اس کے پاس آیا، اور اس نے اس سے کہا: “اے میرے چچا کے بیٹے، مجھے اس چیز کا مکلف نہ کرو جس کا تمہارے چچا کے بیٹے نے تمہارے چچا Abā ʿAbdillāh کو مکلف کیا تھا، مبادا مجھ سے وہ کچھ ظاہر ہو جائے جو میں نہیں چاہتا، جیسے Abī ʿAbdillāh سے وہ کچھ ظاہر ہوا جو وہ نہیں چاہتے تھے۔” الحُسین نے اس سے کہا: “میں نے تو صرف یہ معاملہ تمہارے سامنے پیش کیا ہے؛ اگر تم چاہو تو اس میں داخل ہو جاؤ، اور اگر تم اسے ناپسند کرو تو میں تمہیں اس پر مجبور نہیں کروں گا۔ اور اللہ ہی سے مدد طلب کی جاتی ہے۔” پھر اس نے اسے رخصت کیا۔ چنانچہ Abū al-Ḥasan Mūsā ibn Jaʿfar نے اسے رخصت کرتے وقت کہا: “اے میرے چچا کے بیٹے، بے شک تم قتل کیے جاؤ گے، پس پوری قوت سے ضرب لگاؤ، کیونکہ یہ لوگ فاسق گناہگار ہیں: ایمان ظاہر کرتے ہیں اور شرک چھپاتے ہیں۔” اور بے شک ہم اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں، اور بے شک ہم اسی کی طرف لوٹنے والے ہیں۔ میں تمہیں اللہ کے ہاں ایک جماعت میں سے شمار کرتا ہوں۔" پھر الحسین باہر نکلے، اور ان کے معاملے میں وہی کچھ پیش آیا جو پیش آیا؛ وہ سب کے سب قتل کر دیے گئے، جیسا کہ انہوں نے (عليه السلام) فرمایا تھا۔
Translation
And by this chain, from Abdullah Bin Ja’far Bin Ibrahim Al Ja’fary who said, ‘Abdullah Bin Al Mufazzal, a slave of Abdullah Bin Ja’far Bin Abu Talib narrated to us saying, ‘When Al-Husayn Bin Ali, the one killed at Fajhha went out (against the ruling authorities) and established upon Al-Medina, Musa<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> Bin Ja’far<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> called to the allegiance. So he went to him<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>. So he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said to him: ‘O son of my<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> uncle! Do not encumber me<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> what the son of your uncle encumbered upon Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, so there would come out from me<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> what I<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> do not want, just as it came out from my<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> father<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, and what you do not want would happen’. So Al-Husayn said, ‘But rather, I shall present a matter to you<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, so if you<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> want, enter into it, and if you<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> dislike, I shall not burden it upon you<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, and Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> is the Aider’. Then he bade him<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> farewell. So Abu Al-Hassan Musa<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> Bin Ja’far<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said to him when he bade him<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> farewell: ‘O son of my<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> uncle! You will be killed, therefore fight forcefully, for the people are transgressors. They are displaying Eman and they are veiling <span class="iTxt">Shirk</span>, and we are for Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> and to Him<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> we are returning. Your Reckoning is in the Presence of Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup>, from the disobedient ones’. Then Al-Husayn went out, and it was from his affair what was, and all of them were killed just as he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> had said’.
