كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ مِهْزَمٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ الَّذِي نَنْتَظِرُ مَتَى هُوَ فَقَالَ يَا مِهْزَمُ كَذَبَ الْوَقَّاتُونَ وَ هَلَكَ الْمُسْتَعْجِلُونَ وَ نَجَا الْمُسَلِّمُونَ .

محمد بن یحیی، سلمہ بن الخطاب سے، علی بن حسن سے، عبد الرحمن بن کثیر سے، وہ کہتے ہیں: میں ابو عبد اللہ (علیہ السلام) کی خدمت میں حاضر تھا کہ مہزم ان کے پاس داخل ہوا اور ان سے عرض کیا: "میں آپ پر قربان ہو جاؤں، مجھے اس امر کے بارے میں خبر دیجیے جس کا ہم انتظار کر رہے ہیں—وہ کب ہوگا؟" آپ نے فرمایا: "اے مہزم، وقت مقرر کرنے والوں نے جھوٹ کہا، جلدی کرنے والے ہلاک ہوئے، اور تسلیم کرنے والے نجات پا گئے۔"
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Salma Bin Al Khattab, from Ali Bin Hassan, from Abdul Rahman Bin Kaseer who said, ‘I was in the presence of Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> when Mihzam came over to him<sup>asws</sup> and said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘May I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>! Inform me about this matter which we are awaiting, when would it be?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘O Mihzam! The timers would be lying, and the hasteners would be destroyed, and the submitters would be saved’.
