الحسین بن محمد، معلیٰ بن محمد سے، حسن بن علی الخزاز سے، عبد الکریم بن عمرو الخثعمی سے، فضیل بن یسار سے، ابو جعفر (عليه السلام) سے روایت کرتے ہیں، انہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے کہا: “کیا اس معاملے کے لیے کوئی مقررہ وقت ہے؟” تو انہوں نے فرمایا: “وقت مقرر کرنے والوں نے جھوٹ کہا، وقت مقرر کرنے والوں نے جھوٹ کہا، وقت مقرر کرنے والوں نے جھوٹ کہا۔” بے شک جب موسیٰ (عليه السلام) اپنے رب کی طرف وفد بن کر گئے تو انہوں نے ان سے تیس دن کا وعدہ کیا؛ پھر جب اللہ نے تیس دنوں میں دس اور بڑھا دیے تو ان کی قوم نے کہا، “موسیٰ نے ہم سے وعدہ خلافی کی ہے،” چنانچہ انہوں نے وہ کیا جو انہوں نے کیا۔ پس جب ہم تم سے کوئی حدیث بیان کریں اور وہ اسی طرح واقع ہو جیسا ہم نے تم سے بیان کیا تھا، تو کہو: “اللہ نے سچ فرمایا۔” اور جب ہم تم سے کوئی حدیث بیان کریں اور وہ اس کے خلاف واقع ہو جیسا ہم نے تم سے بیان کیا تھا، تو کہو: “اللہ نے سچ فرمایا؛ تمہیں دوہرا اجر ملے گا۔”

Translation

Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Al Khazzaz, from Abdul Kareem Bin Amro Al Khash’amy, from Al Fuzayl Bin Yasaar, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws, said, ‘I said, ‘Is there a (specific) time for this matter?’ So he^asws said: ‘The timers would be lying! The timers would be lying! The timers would be lying! When (Prophet) Musa^as went as a delegate to his^as Lord^azwj, his^as appointment was for thirty days. So when Allah^azwj Increased ten upon the thirty, his^as people said, ‘Musa^as has broken his^as promise’. Thus, they did what they did. So when we^asws narrate to you all with the Hadeeth and there comes what we^asws had narrated with, so you should be saying, ‘Allah^azwj Spoke the truth’. And when we^asws narrated to you all with the Hadeeth, so there comes different to what we^asws had narrated to you with, so you should be saying, ‘Allah^azwj Spoke the truth’. You would be Recompensed twice’.
