فِي الْمَرْأَةِ الثَّيِّبِ تَخْطُبُ إِلَى نَفْسِهَا قَالَ هِيَ أَمْلَكُ بِنَفْسِهَا تُوَلِّي أَمْرَهَا مَنْ شَاءَتْ إِذَا كَانَ كُفْواً بَعْدَ أَنْ تَكُونَ قَدْ نَكَحَتْ رَجُلًا قَبْلَهُ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, altogether, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad Bin Usman, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said regarding the divorced or widowed woman whether she can propose herself. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘She is in control of herself to turn her affair to whoever she so desires to, when he was a match, after it had been such that she had married a man before him’.
