سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) وَ أَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يَتَزَوَّجُ امْرَأَةً مُتْعَةً وَ يَشْتَرِطُ عَلَيْهَا أَنْ لَا يَطْلُبَ وَلَدَهَا فَتَأْتِي بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِوَلَدٍ فَشَدَّدَ فِي إِنْكَارِ الْوَلَدِ وَ قَالَ أَ يَجْحَدُهُ إِعْظَاماً لِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ فَإِنِ اتَّهَمَهَا فَقَالَ لَا يَنْبَغِي لَكَ أَنْ تَتَزَوَّجَ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنَةً أَوْ مُسْلِمَةً فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ الزَّانِي لا يَنْكِحُ إِلَّا زانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةً وَ الزَّانِيَةُ لا يَنْكِحُها إِلَّا زانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌ وَ حُرِّمَ ذلِكَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahy, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Ismail who said, ‘A man asked Abu Al-Hassan Al-Reza<sup>asws</sup> and I was listening, about a man who married a woman with <span class="iTxt">Mut’a</span> and stipulated upon her that he would not seek her child. So she came over after that with a child. So he was intense in the denial of the child and he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Did he fight It greatly due to that?’ So the man said, ‘But, he was accusing her’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It is not befitting for you that you marry except for a Believing woman, or a Muslim woman, for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic is Saying <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:24#h3"><a href="/books/quran:24#h3">[24:3]</a></a> The adulterer shall not marry any but a adulteress or an idolatress, and (as for) the adulteress, none shall marry her but an adulterer or an idolater; and that is Forbidden to the Believers</span>’.
