رِوَايَةِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: «وَ إِنْ كُنْتَ خَلْفَ إِمَامٍ فَلاَ تَقْرَأَنَّ شَيْئاً فِي اَلْأَوَّلَتَيْنِ وَ أَنْصِتْ لِقِرَاءَتِهِ وَ لاَ تَقْرَأَنَّ شَيْئاً فِي اَلْأَخِيرَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّ اَللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ، «وَ إِذٰا قُرِئَ اَلْقُرْآنُ » يَعْنِي فِي اَلْفَرِيضَةِ خَلْفَ اَلْإِمَامِ «فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَ أَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ » فَالْأَخِيرَتَانِ تَبَعاً لِلْأَوَّلَتَيْنِ.

اور زرارہ کی روایت میں، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: اگر آپ امام کے پیچھے ہوں تو پہلے دو رکعتوں میں کچھ نہ پڑھیں اور اس کی تلاوت کو خاموشی سے سنیں؛ اور آخری دو رکعتوں میں بھی کچھ نہ پڑھیں، کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ مہیمن و جلیل مؤمنوں سے فرماتا ہے، “اور جب قرآن پڑھا جائے” — مراد فرض نماز میں امام کے پیچھے — “تو اسے سنو اور خاموش رہو تاکہ تم پر رحم کیا جائے۔” لہٰذا آخری دو رکعتیں پہلے دو رکعتوں کی تابع ہیں۔
Translation
Hadith.1161 - In a narration from Zurarah about Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), He said: "If you are behind an Imam, do not recite anything during the first two rak'ahs; instead, listen to his recitation and remain silent. Do not recite anything in the last two rak'ahs either, for Allah (swt), the Almighty, says to the believers: 'When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it and be silent that you may receive mercy' (Surah Al-A'raf 7:204). The last two rak'ahs are a continuation of the first two."
