: «جَرَتِ اَلسُّنَّةُ أَنْ لاَ تُؤْخَذَ اَلْجِزْيَةُ مِنَ اَلْمَعْتُوهِ وَ لاَ مِنَ اَلْمَغْلُوبِ عَلَى عَقْلِهِ.

طلحہ ابن زید نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے فرمایا: «سنت یہ ہے کہ جزیہ نہ تو ذہنی معذور سے لی جائے اور نہ ہی اس سے جس کا عقل متاثر ہو چکا ہو۔»
Translation
Hadith.1674 - Talha ibn Zayd narrated from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) who said: "The established practice (sunnah) is that jizya is not taken from the mentally ill or those whose intellect is impaired (maghlub ala 'aqlihi)."
