سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ : يَنْهَى عَنِ اَلنَّرْجِسِ لِلصَّائِمِ فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ وَ لِمَ قَالَ «لِأَنَّهُ رَيْحَانُ اَلْأَعَاجِمِ».

مُحَمَّد ابن الفَیض التیمی نے ابن ریاب سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے سنا کہ ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام نے روزہ دار کے لیے نرگس سے منع فرمایا۔ تو میں نے کہا، 'میں تمہاری فدیہ ہوں، اور کیوں؟' انہوں نے فرمایا: 'کیونکہ یہ غیر عربوں کی خوشبو دار جڑی بوٹی ہے۔'
Translation
Hadith.1878 - Muhammad ibn al-Faydh al-Taymi narrated from Ibn Ri'ab, who said: "I heard Abu Abdullah (as) forbidding the use of narcissus (nargis) for the fasting person. I asked: 'May I be your ransom, why?' Imam (as) replied: "Because it is the fragrant herb of the non-Arabs (al-A'jam)."
