«يَا مُيَسِّرُ تُصَلِّي اَلْعَصْرَ أَرْبَعاً أَفْضَلُ أَوْ تُصَلِّيهَا سِتّاً» فَقُلْتُ أُصَلِّيهَا أَرْبَعاً قَالَ «فَكَذَلِكَ سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ غَيْرِهَا».

میسّر نے امام صادق علیہ السلام سے پوچھا کہ ایک شخص جو احرام العقیق سے باندھتا ہے اور دوسرا جو احرام کوفہ سے باندھتا ہے، ان دونوں میں کون سا عمل افضل ہے؟ تو آپ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: اے میسّر، کیا بہتر ہے کہ تم عصر کی نماز چار رکعت پڑھو یا اسے چھ رکعت پڑھو؟ میں نے کہا: میں اسے چار رکعت پڑھتا ہوں۔ آپ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: «اسی طرح رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی سنت باقی سب سے افضل ہے۔»
Translation
Hadith.2529 - Maysar asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) about a man who assumed Ihram from Al-‘Aqiq and another who assumed Ihram from Kufa, saying: "Which of them has performed a better act?" Imam (as) replied: "O Maysar, is it better to pray the afternoon prayer as four units or as six units?" I said: "To pray it as four units." Imam (as) said: "Likewise, the practice of the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace of Allah (swt) be upon him and his family) is better than anything else."
