«لاَ يَقُصَّ مِنْهَا شَيْئاً إِنِ اِسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ تُؤْذِيهِ فَلْيَقُصَّهَا وَ لْيُطْعِمْ مَكَانَ كُلِّ ظُفُرٍ قَبْضَةً مِنْ طَعَامٍ ».

معاویہ بن عمار نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے ایک محرم کے بارے میں پوچھا جس کے ناخن لمبے ہو جاتے ہیں یا کچھ ٹوٹ جاتے ہیں اور اس سے اسے تکلیف ہوتی ہے۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: “اگر وہ کر سکے تو انہیں نہیں کاٹے۔ لیکن اگر وہ اسے تکلیف دیتے ہیں تو انہیں کاٹ دے، اور ہر ناخن کی جگہ ایک مٹھی کھانا کھلائے۔”
Translation
Hadith.2691 - Mu'awiyah ibn Ammar asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a person in the state of ihram whose nails grow long or some of them break and cause harm. Imam (as) said: "They should not cut any of them if they can avoid it. But if they cause harm, they may trim them, and for each nail, they must give a handful of food as expiation."
