«أَمَّا فِي اَلْهَدْيِ فَلاَ وَ أَمَّا فِي اَلْأَضْحَى فَنَعَمْ وَ يُجْزِي اَلْهَدْيُ عَنِ اَلْأُضْحِيَّةِ ».

مُحَمَّد الحَلَبِي نے ابُو عَبْدِاللّٰہ علیہ السلام سے ایک گروہ کے بارے میں پوچھا: کیا ایک گائے ان کے لیے کافی ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: ’’جہاں تک ہدی کا تعلق ہے، نہیں۔ لیکن قربانی (اُضحیٰ) کے لیے ہاں۔ اور ہدی قربانی کی جگہ لے لیتی ہے۔‘‘
Translation
Hadith.3067 - Muhammad al-Halabi asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a group of people—does a cow suffice for them? Imam (as) replied: "As for the hady (sacrificial offering for Hajj), no. But as for the sacrifice (Udhiyah), yes. And the hady suffices in place of the sacrifice."
