"لاَ يَصْلُحُ شَيْءٌ مِنْهُ اِثْنَانِ بِوَاحِدٍ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَصْرِفَهُ مِنْ نَوْعٍ إِلَى نَوْعٍ آخَرَ فَإِذَا صَرَفْتَهُ فَلاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ اِثْنَانِ بِوَاحِدٍ وَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ".

سماعہ نے ان سے کھانے، کھجوروں، اور کشمش کے بارے میں پوچھا، اور انہوں نے فرمایا: ان میں سے کوئی چیز دو کے بدلے ایک کے طور پر جائز نہیں، جب تک کہ آپ اسے ایک قسم سے دوسری قسم میں تبدیل نہ کریں۔ پھر جب آپ اسے تبدیل کریں تو دو کے بدلے ایک یا اس سے زیادہ میں کوئی حرج نہیں۔
Translation
Hadith.4014 - Sama'ah asked him about food, dates, and raisins. Imam (as) said: "It is not permissible to exchange two for one of any of these, except if you change it from one type to another. When you change it, then there is no harm in exchanging two for one or even more than that."
